Valtronic Technologies - Our History
Valtronic was founded by Georges Rochat as a micro-electronics contract manufacturer in the Vallée de Joux (traditional Swiss watch- making region).
AP Technologies, a micro-mechanical contract manufacturer, was founded in the Vallée de Joux by Audemars Piguet, a haut-de-gamme watch company.
The two companies produced devices for:
    
  • Discovery Space Shuttle (1990)
  •      
  • Formula One race cars (1995)
  • World’s smallest hearing aid (2000)
  • World’s smallest implantable pulse generator (2006)
  • First retinal implant system for the blind (2006)
  • In 2007, the companies merged to form the Valtronic Technologies Group.
    Since 2009, Valtronic has a new focus on developpement and production of complete electro-mechanical products.
    In 2010 the Valtronic group of companies was acquired by the Swiss Investor Patrimonium together with two experienced Medtech entrepreneurs.
